There should not be monopoly of one company. Mobile number portability was a good step. It is not right , first you give everything free and than start charging exsorbitant rates. The tariff should be reasonable and network should be good and available at every place.

The present scenario of telecom industry is going to monopoly. Because of all the rules and regulations of TRAI is helpful for one telecom service provider. Most service providers like Tata indicom, Rcom, virgin, Telenor, aircel are closed their business or selling the company to other. Only 3 operators are in telecom industry in private sector. The government hasn't support the state owned telecom operator. 4G Is not yet started in the state owned telecom operator in all circles.

India is a vast country. In some parts of the country the network is very good while in some others it is still very poor. Telecom Cos should be encouraged to improve network in such areas by allowing them charge higher tariff .

Telecom Cos offer a variety of tariff plans to the customers like Chota Recharge, Data Free, SMS Free, STD Free, Roaming Free, different speeds of data etc. All these plans are to entice the customers who is puzzled by such offers. TRAI should lay down the details of a limited number of plans that can be offered by the cos to the public.
