We should promote the Silk and Khadi creations the way they are promoting their brands in India. Though the retail market is free and every individual has own choice... I think a boost for the Indian outfits in India itself i very necessary... Why not trying to rope in #Hrithik or #Shahrukh or #amitabh for khadi promotion and the likes of #aishwarya, #ameesha or #madhuri for Banarasi silk promotion?

It is necessary to decrease the overall cost of production to increase the demand of Indian silk products in the country and it may be possible.

Best example is air india advertising on different Hindi news channel on foreign locations. However govt should provide initial financial support. Also you can increase sell through ecommerse website like myntra, alibaba , eBay etc. They reach any location

Every Indian who is living abroad can be best marketing tool. Suppose x person live here in Singapore and look for Indian products but could not find exact place . media will be good tool. Every Indian subscribe Hindi, Tamil , telagu channels . you can spread that message. Once Indian started using that product others will surely follow because we are too good in mouth publicity. Another way is social media.
