Silk, the Queen of textiles, is adored by all for its sheer sheen, luster, elegance, class and comfort. It has several natural properties like natural sheen, inherent affinity for dyes and vibrant colours, light weight, resilience and excellent drape etc. which makes it distinct from all other fibers both natural and man-made. Though silk products are consumed more by urban rich, its production is highly employment oriented, low capital intensive and remunerative that churns out value added products of economic importance, especially the rural people.

The women participation in various activities in silk value chain is about 54%. The silk always attracts competition from synthetic fibers, though which look like silk.

This is digital age so following could be some options: 1)Make awareness in farmers about online selling and purchasing of silk. 2)farmers can sell silk in online market like silkroad but it is complex procedure for farmers, so, making simple online market is other option. 3)direct contact between buyers and sellers of silk is important , mobile apps could make it simpler. 4)also online advertising may help.

To increase the demand of silk products in the country, the govt shall open 'silk vastralayas' like khadi gramodhyog where special discount offers can be made. The franchisees shall be given to serve the purpose where computer aided designing can be promoted to use silk products in different forms. Consumers shall be encouraged to become customers of silk products by way of advertising it as a fashion symbol in the country & abroad too.

Presently , the silk products available in the market are of quite old-fashioned. Their pattern are repeatedly over-used. They are not accepted by young generation. How about doing some fruitful experiment to it? Can we associate silk product with some handicrafts. We can do crewel, chickenkari and kasmiri embroidery to it. It can be hand -painted also. It can mixed with different other raw spun yarn during knitting. Like mixing it with calico, chintz like fabric for a distinct look.

Respected sir, there is a need for national drive for ROAD SAFETY,most accidents happen in the nights, reasons are non working of tail lights, over loading of iron bars, rods, high beam, non use of reflectors on parked vehicles. If all fuel outlets, toll plazas are involved for a weak long drive we can achieve 100 % target as all vehicles would come for fueling at least in a weak and we can put reflectors, tail lights in vehicles. NO REFLECTOR NO FUEL. NO REFLECTOR NO PASSAGE AT TOLL PLAZA
