Municipal Corporation Dharamshala congratulates the citizens of Dharamshala for being selected in 23 fast track cities.

A special fast track has been provided to 23 high scoring cities of states/UTs to upgrade their proposal which are not covered in first twenty cities and submitted, it before 15th April 2016. The proposal which will achieve the benchmark set by the wining cities after evaluation by the panel of experts will become eligible for funding on accelerated basis in 2016-17.

To achieve the benchmark set by the MoUD and wining cities, wide range of citizen consultations/ engagements is prerequisite of the Project. In this regard Municipal Corporation Dharamshala appeal all the citizens to give their suggestions on Previous Proposal. Dharamshala Smart City Proposal and Comments received from MoUD are uploaded below.

The last date to submit your suggestions/ comments is 31st March, 2016.

A city is remembered from the image the visitors behold and the first thing that got captured in eyes is smart Road Design and Interactive Side skirts of road which should take care of Pedestrian as well as motor vehicle also. since Dharamshala is known for its spiritual image to every visitors. a proper control on street elevations and new building design should be enforced. a city is smart if their residents feel smart and visitors should feel ease while interacting with city.

I would request the H'able authorities to not to ignore our detailed presentation having lots of idea’s for making Dharamshala smart city which was given to them and made after the various meetings with the delegation from leading associations of Daramshala such as Hotel & Restaurant association ,Taxi union ,Vayopar Mandal , Indo Tibetain Friendship association . I am attaching here with the same presentation once again for your ready reference with the request to consider the same.

There are many hotels and restaurant in Dharamshala and 20% of waste Material is produced due to them and if municipality arranges proper disposal of waste then this problem could be solved .
