I believe that a vital part that we are missing when we talk about education is making the children aware of child abuse, the causes, the effects and the preventive measures. Even the parents and teachers should be a part of this as they are the safe elders, and who need to communicate with their kids.
It is sad that schools are not willing to take up anti-child abuse programs that I am trying to inculcate while talking to them. It is through schools that we can reach out to a large number.

We need to emphasize on hands on training at school level just like we had in vedic era. In our current education system there is huge difference in practical and theoretical knowledge. We need to teach the children about skills which would be useful for them in future.

Vocational training is the need of the hour. A skilled plumber or electrician earns twice than an office worker. India needs skilled masons, carpenters in millions. I think it's a sign of wisdom for Modi govt to emphasize skill-India program. if our youths follow, it will bring smiles to their family.

Cramming may lead to success in exams, but it doesn't lead to job. Every employer wants skilled and experienced persons who can perform useful work. So, from standard XII every school or education must have 50% skill training and 50% theories including ethics. A student can study subjects of three days a week but he/she must spend the other three days in acquiring skill in small business, factories or service sector. Because of lack of skill, 80% of our graduates remain unemployed.
