http://supportinghands.blogspot.in/2014/06/blog-post.html No Vocational Education, We want Professionalization of Education.

vocational training should not be restricted only to students who volunteer or are not good at academics. It should also have a graded approach wherein all have to undergo vocational training while elementary level goes to academically strong students, higher skills need to be imparted to those who are not academically strong. A vocational placement centre is also a must. A SPV which acts as a hub for rendering service and placing these vocational professionals should be put in place.

To Implement my below suggestion, government should fund establishment of workshops, tools and equipment or schools to conduct Practical Training at government and private ITI. Jobless Engineering degree holders can be appointed as Instructors. For the medical stream ,para medical courses such as medical lab technician,xray/mri/ct scan operator/nursing.Commerce stream courses such as Accounting,Marketing ,HR, Insurance,Mutual fund Assistant. Arts stream courses can be in journalisam,Office asst

For skill Development 80% of present strength in Higher Secondary(11 &12) education should be in the vocational stream in each field and only 20% in pure science, maths, commerce arts.
CBSE should plan NCVT equivalent courses and certificate on passing 12th.Engineering courses can be Draftsman,Surveyor, ,fitter,Turner,Electrician,Plumber etc. Polytechnics should admit such students in 3rd year of Diploma and 80% engineering colleges seats in first year of Degree should be reserved for them

It is a common myth that vocational training is required after graduation but this is not valid in todays environment.
Present education produces white collar informed people whereas the need of hour is well to do hands on the educational subjects. So vocational training should start from Nursery. The level and skill under the training depends on the age of the student. Example-In Nursery- Train on etiquettes etc.

There was no similarity between what I had studied and what I was working on or with. With the initiative that I talked before students will be able to interact with industry professionals and recent graduates, which will help inspire them. I think this great opportunity is being wasted (in DMRC) everywhere. Online portals should be created for students. If I want to visit the HAL factory to see TEJAS construction, appropriate methods should be kept in place for a particular student to do so.

Similarly, all the construction, be it commissioning or anything of big magnitude should be opened for students to visit on particular days. Same can be done with defense equipments and missiles etc. Proper measures can be taken to maintain security etc. As an engineering or School student I could never know what was happening in an industry. Only after graduation I got to know. I realized that my education and practical implementation are completely different.
