The holistic method of imparting some stereo type subjects through the present education should change from the primary level. Real success lies in identifying the real child talent at the earliest stage and moulding them through the proper route & direction with proper support & guidance to enable him to stand on his own with confidence after the learning stage which shall contribute positively for the development with increase in national out put and also gross productivity in all the fronts.

Vocational subjects must be added to the main curriculum, special grading must be given in report cards for the vocational subjects. Vocational subjects must be taught as skill subjects. Vocational education must be made compulsory & grading must be given in mark sheets. Advanced skill testing system must be initiated to test vocational skills of students. Vocational training must be given by experts. Industrial visits must also be initiated for a learning experience.

We must remember our independent villages system long ages where all people were employed with certain skills like gobbler, goldsmith, farmers, floweriest etc and use to survive on barter system.i feel the concept of skill development must be adapted from that system.children use to get training from the house itself for example-a barbar teaches his business skills to his son so it grows seeking and learning the same.As a government we have to enrich the skills of these children along education.

vocational knowledge will be more effective with enterprise training like establishing small scale industry. There is no syllabus which taught this. What we need to move towards is industrialization which US did many decades back and China did in last decade. Unless technical human resources equipped with solid knowledge to set up an small enterprise they will always depend on some one for job. So enabling them to develop their ideas and convert them into solid enterprise is the way to go.

National Skill Development Foundation has run a pilot to empower candidates to choose the skill development course that they wish to enroll into through vouchers. In this model payment of training institutes goes through students which makes the institutes accountable to the students and provide quality training. This model must be expanded to cover all vocation education across the country.

While it is important to bring in vocational education as a formal stream from secondary school onwards, as has been planned, it is even more critical that working with the hand is encouraged from elementary itself. Points are explained in the attached PDF.
