Strengthening of Vocational Education is necessary to reduce unemployment. Short-term courses can help the youth to be trained in business and will be able to earn for their life. Not only it helps to earn money but also enhances one's scientific & technical knowledge. Vocational Education upgrades practical knowledge and experience of the person.

Is it possible to incorporate social awareness, i.e. how does one behave - dos & donts- in the society a part of the curriculum? Right from the primary school days, students could be made aware of what is socially acceptable action/behaviour and what is not? He/she could be trained to think and act according to ideal/acceptable ways on aspects like, social/gender equality, caring for people in need (kids, elderly, patients, etc.), traffic/driving senses etc. It is a practice in many countries.

Dr.Ramaa S, In India lot of research have been done on different aspects of School Education. But the findings are not considered seriously by the policy makers. The gap between research and practice is too wide. There is a need to bridge the gap; otherwise qualitative improvement is not possible. Establishing a empirical data base and resource groups are initial steps in this direction. Career education based on recent trends, career guidance and counseling should be available in the schools.

Respected HRD Minister,
Kindly don't waste your power, position and influence by simply opening IITs and IIMs. Rather kindly use your mandate to see if quality education is being delivered to the children.
Kindly check all the syllabus contents from 1st to 12th grade to see if proper/moral/nationalism things are fed into the minds of children. A whole generation might itself get destroyed by being taught wrong things in schools which eventually lead to the destruction of India.
Thank you,
