Youth should be regularly Made aware, educated and trained for the extreme conditions. This can include training focussing on the youngsters studying in colleges which can help the nation in odd times.

First and foremost responsibility of all our youths is to prevent from sharing and forwarding chain mails and different news and articles related to disasters or any other calamity without proper verification , as it creates an atmosphere of distress and even sometimes to PANIC. and at time when actual CRISIS occurs , due to such scenario, it becomes very hard to believe if it is actuall havoc or jst again some fake trending data

Service should not be forced onto youth. But there is a need to create a forumn to engage with the youth onn how they can be involved and provide support. currently, there is no clarity on how they can lend a helping hand.

#DisasterMitigation Youth should be used to spread awareness about the "Disaster management mock drills" in the possible areas. It is difficult to government officers to organize these mock drills effectively without getting the attention of the village people.I think most of the time these mock drills are taken very lightly among the people. To bring awareness about these mock drills youth could help a lot.

Sir I think it should be mandatory for youth in colleges to be part of outfits which help in times of disasters so that they understand the importance of helping the society and also will enrich their lives

I agree with Mr. Susitra. In addition, if there will b kind of compulsory subject of disaster management from class 11 to 12 will b even better.

Sir, all school children from class VIII to XII should be in Scouts and Guides, if eligible in NCC. All college students, except probably for those in Medical courses - due to time constraints, should be in NSS or NCC and should attend atleast one camp. Medical students can participate in medical camps. During the course of these activities the students can have special lectures, training camps organised district wise by the NDRF personnel along with CPR training and basic medical techniques.

Youth can play an important role in disaster management as volunteers. Youth today are responsible and think about the socitey and it would be great help if government can provide a platform for youth to be a direct or indirect volunteer in such adversities.
