India is investing heavily in construction of new highways, why not railways and waterways instead. As can be seen the Truckers have been on strike for few days now, which is not in government control and this is severely impacting movement of goods through highways across the country and affecting supplies. If we had more railway lines, the essential commodities could be transported through railways and the common people wouldnot be inconvenienced due to the strike of the truckers, promote railway

Why the allocation for new highways construction is several times more than allocation for new railway line,Automobile manufacturers and crude oil suppliers are most likely to benefit more from highways than common people. Can the government increase the allocation for constructing new railways lines, many of which seem to be not comming up for several years on the context of environmental clearance and agitations, while the private bus operator lobby may be part of the obstruction to new railway

I live in Faridabad which is a neighbouring city of Delhi. The biggest problem is the connectivity to Noida and Greater Noida. 4 years ago Krishna Pal Gurjar , Minister in Faridabad layed down the Foundation Stone but till 4 years not a single stone has been put on the site, which is very shameful for government and authorities. and the lifeline of Faridabad By pass road is full of potholes.
