The youth should be engaged in meaningful tasks. The first being to keep the school and their locality clean. They must be taught to adopt cleanliness habits, instead of wasting money on medicine and doctors. Today YOGA is such one activity which not only shapes the body but trains the mind to remain calm and peaceful. This brings difference in character also. The youth must be taught to help the older people when and where ever they see them. Family and Teachers have to make their contribution.

Good teachers produce good students, because a student trust his teacher more than his parents. So the have to bear the responsibility of producing good citizens. In the modern world, we can add the students to social work. This is vast field and this can be done depending on the choice of the student. The students must be taught to have love and compassion with human beings, animals and plants. The story of Gautam Buddha who saved the bird was inspired by the teaching of his mother one example.

Tree plantation is the best habit. In the days of Ramayana, when the student was admitted in the school, he was required a fruit plant. During his education days he was required to take care of his plant. By the time he graduated the plant grew into a tree and started bearing fruits. The fruits were guarantee of his qualification. His love and affection for the tree attached him with preserving the nature for future generations. One good habit learned at the school remain with him till his death

First of all I would like to say that the youth should be engaged in activities which are useful for the country. When a boy/girl of reasonable understanding is in school he/she should be indulged in other curricular activities like, singing, dancing, painting, cleaning, drama, plantation of fruit trees, social work, touring etc. All these activities will help in developing the mind of the youth. The teachers should follow good habits, because what ever the youth see and feel is stored in mind.

Social values come directly from the family. As charity starts from home, in the same manner the family members have to play active role so that the youth can be made good citizen of India. Good habits taught by parents make up a good youth. Society does not change overnight. It will take time. All families in India have shoulder the responsibility of instilling good and noble values for tomorrow's citizen.
