in my opinion Ganga gets partially cleaned once a year after monsoon.if not it is flushing dirt and garbage from land during monsoon.have check points in the river at every 25 kms on continuous basis till we locate the problem and solve it.Alternatively have fish breeding farms on the banks select fast growing breeds which could do cleaning to some extent which could be cost effective ban fishing till the objective is met.

Sir, stakeholders are those who live along her banks & the extended populace which covers several states. The otherwise unemployed youth in these states can be co-opted to maintain & supervise the ghats, as guides for the temples in the area, trained for adventure sports & trekking, sea food cold storage, hospitality industry etc, thereby providing a chance to earn a livelihood. Dedicated local groups can be formed for this as part of Namami Gange project. The Ganga will then get due attention.

Sir my suggestion is to privatise the bank areas. the private companies need to clean the Ganga and use it to promote the tourism and take the revenue. The government need to certain norms on which these companies will work.

Local UP gov. has to work in parallel with central agencies. Not sure what going,how they coordinating..

Is 80c covered for clean ganga fund? if Yes I wan to invest on this..

Divide the Ganga into sections and have each area reaponsible for the cleaning up and maintenance of the area. Can have pilgrim centres and other sightseeing services which should be non-polluting but which can generate income for the maintenance of the area. Donations can also be encouraged for each area.

Could a Namaami Gange portal be set up (if not existing already !), to update citizens on progress of various initiatives. Can states be encouraged to drive their own missions on 1 river each, with 1 prominent state level policital figure responsible for driving it. We could have more than 25 rivers cleaned up parallel-ly.

Most of the plastic bags directly go to sea and pollute it.already a part of sea as large as a continent, became a plastic poisonous patch area near pacific sea. 6. Many people burn plastic garbage to get rid of that, which is a killing effect on human lungs, emission contains most hazardous gases for human health.
