इसके लिए उपयुक्त यातायात संकेतों एवं निर्देशों का गंभीरता से पालन करना जरूरी है।

For Success of Ro-Ro in major areas the vessels should have lower draft or has to be barges The feasibility depends on the load it can carry, distance saved, time saved,facilities at both ends without any hassles, easy loading & unloading, approach roads for quick movement of cargo.The main reason being depths of backwater, rivers. The topography of our country with mountains on western coast & gradients. We have many dams for many purposes & agricultural lands on either sides which needs lot's of water.This will reduce the amount of water in the rivers.Also there are issues like tides for back water. The barge construction needs special attention & design with proper supports for bottom plates with higher thicknesses. Ferry operators should be incentivized for coastal cleanup and beautification. This can also hive boos to coastal tourism.

जल परिवहन को बढ़ावा देकर लॉजिस्टिक्स पर आने वाली लागत को लगभग आधा किया जा सकता है, क्योंकि देश में इसके लिये साधन, संसाधन, सुविधाएँ और सामर्थ्य सब कुछ मौज़ूद है।

इस सेवा के शुरू होने से तटीय शिपिंग (Coastal Shipping) और तटीय पर्यटन (Coastal Tourism) के क्षेत्र में  भी नई शुरूआत होगी। 

इस सेवा में भड़ूच सहित दक्षिण गुजरात में औदयोगिक विकास की गति को तेज़ करने के लिए दहेज और हज़ीरा जैसे केन्द्रों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है।

इस फेरी सेवा से पूरे क्षेत्र में सामाजिक-आर्थिक विकास का एक नया दौर शुरू होगा तथा रोज़गार के नए अवसर उपलब्ध होंगे। 

इस प्रकार की रो-रो फेरी सेवाओं में पहियेदार माल/यात्री वाहक वाहनों को लाने-ले जाने के लिए जहाज़ होते हैं। इस पर ले जाए जाने वाले वाहन अपने स्वयं के पहियों या फेरी के लिये बने प्लेटफार्म का उपयोग करते हैं, जिनमें कार, ट्रक, अर्द्ध-ट्रेलर ट्रक, ट्रेलर और रेल-कार शामिल हैं।
