Another problem is govt gives permission to a number of new colleges to encourage technical education. On ground level, these colleges does not even have basic "very basic" laboratory equipment. Which in turn create a mass of degree holders without acceptable skill levels. Even the regular college inspections by govt officials are planned; if not, cheated. In a country having such a large youth mass, we are creating a society with degrees and not skills which in-turn is a paralysis to society.

The discrimination between 'Higher education' vs 'Vocational education' must go. All education must be treated as Education alone. All skills need to be celebrated and all students must learn how to work with all basic raw materials we use in our daily live, to understand how each skill and material has its use and place in our in our life.

Our current education model is not providing appropriate practical knowledge according to contemporary industry requirements and for future perspective. Industry-academia collaborative interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary teaching, research and consultancy is very much required for growth and development where academic institute can involve their students to get practical and real knowledge for their own professional career, industry as well as nation's growth as whole.

Our current edu. model is not practical one and designed by those who had not worked in industry.I had recently had discussion with students of final year engg. graduation and found they are not guided properly by institute. Students are not taught need of industry. Lead should be taken from education inst.to associate with industry in helping them solving issue. Both need each other. Develop model similar to medical where college is linked to hospital

For making the students employable, we need to work collaborate with industry to give students insights about exact nature of work they need to perform. This will allow then to develop skill-set which is in-line with the employer's requirements This can be achieved by creating internship programs with organizations with mutual benefits (as corporate are not there for charity) that gives employer cheap workforce (as interns are paid less) and makes students employable
