Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

While most people of the nation want a developed nation with good law and order. Better infra and benefits. There is always a segment of.people who are regressive and try sabotage all efforts to build better nation. How do you tackle that sir. Even aadhar and driving license can be made fraudulently. It's our own citizens who support and join hands for all illegal causes.

Birth and deat Certificates are utmost important because it not only gives recognition but also helps in thorough survey of Government. Amended bills should enforce thar every citizen after birth and death must get their certificate made and this should be looked after by ward parshad or Anganwadi Workers as they are available everywhere.

As panchayat system is working well in all states so at the village level (i) where proper medical facilities are not available, registration of birth and death should be done online by elected persons such that Ward representatives, Sarpanch, Mukhiya etc. and approved by the Registrar. (ii) where proper medical facilities is available , registration of birth and death should be done by the hospital authorities and approved by the Registrar. (iii) Same to be followed in the rural area also.
