यातायात की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए स्मार्ट सुझाव दें। इस समाधान में अभिनव डिजिटल प्रौद्योगिकी, प्रशासनिक और आर्किटेक्चरल समाधान और कार्य प्रवाह की डिजाइन का प्रयोग प्रतियोगिता में वर्णित समस्याओं को हल करने के लिए किया जा सकता है, लेकिन यह इसी तक सीमित नहीं हो सकता है। इस श्रेणी में प्रतिभागी को शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग में सक्षम होने के लिए पुछे गए सभी सवालों के उत्तर के साथ पूर्ण विवरण भी प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए। प्रश्न- 1. अपने घर के बाहर यातायात से निपटने के लिए एक स्मार्ट समाधान या नवीन प्रौद्योगिकी का सुझाव दें। 2. एक मोटर गाड़ी में 4 व्यक्ति तथा एक सार्वजनिक बस में 40 व्यक्ति आराम से बैठ सकते है। एक स्मार्ट सिटी में कैसे कार और बस की जरूरतों को संतुलन किया जा सकता हैं? 3. अभिनव प्रौद्योगिकियों तथा स्मार्ट समाधान के उपयोग के माध्यम से अपने शहर में सुरक्षित और अधिक आरामदायक बस यात्रा कैसे कर सकते हैं? प्रविष्टि की समय सीमा • प्रविष्टियों को mygov.in पोर्टल द्वारा शनिवार, 20 जून, 2015 से 23.59 घंटे (11:59) पर ऑनलाइन प्रस्तुत किया जा सकता है। मूल्यांकन प्रविष्टियों का मूल्यांकन निम्नलिखित मानदंडों के आधार पर किया जाएगाः • मत क्षमता (50%) • अभिनव (50%) पुरस्कार प्रत्येक श्रेणी में दो विजेताओं को निम्नलिखित राशि के नकद पुरस्कार के साथ-साथ, स्मार्ट सिटी मिशन के लॉन्च पर प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा 25 जून 2015 को विज्ञान भवन, नई दिल्ली में एक प्रशस्ति पत्र से सम्मानित किया जाएगाः • प्रथम पुरस्कार - 40,000 रु. • द्वितीय पुरस्कार - 25,000 रु. विजेता सुझाव को कार्यान्वयन के समाधान के रूप में 100 स्मार्ट शहरों के साथ साझा किया जाएगा तथा पायलट परियोजनाओं के लिए भी इस सुझाव पर विचार किया जाएगा। • इस श्रेणी में प्रतिभागी को शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग में सक्षम होने के लिए पुछे गए सभी सवालों के उत्तर के साथ पूर्ण विवरण भी प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए। • प्रत्येक श्रेणी के लिए प्रतिभागियों द्वारा प्रस्तुत प्रविष्टियों का मुल्याकंन स्वतंत्र रूप से और योग्यता के आधार पर किया जाएगा। एक से अधिक श्रेणी में शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग के मामले में, एक भागीदार को केवल एक श्रेणी के लिए ही पुरस्कार राशि प्राप्त होगी। • प्रत्येक उत्तर की लंबाई 250 या उससे कम शब्दों में होनी चाहिए। पुरस्कार राशि के नियम एवं शर्तें और विवरण के लिए यहां क्लिक करें

most of the time highly populated cities follow few common things : excellent public transport. Now we are trying to push for bus services but when we are planning from zero all this populated cities need trains . more circular ring roads. May be if we create more transprancy at municipalty level we can create more push towards bus service atleast. Talking about traffic rules and regulations forget that it's too difficult for india. But we can put Road name and sign symbols on each street

For bus travellers, safety is in the hands of people "Mobile phone" itself now. Just that WIFI Hotspots are needed all across the city, which will enable people to be connected always. When they are connected they can instantly update the status of what's happening, in addition to this in the bus we can install cameras and emergency button which will alert the nearest police station.

My idea is that facilities of car (wiFi, AC, frequency and cleanliness) should be made available in bus which will shift people to move to public transport. Public transport should be maintained well also this solution is for small radius of 30 KMS. If this is accepted by the people then we can make it happen for longer distance. We should start explaining to the children in school itself about the advantages of public transport so they take a wise decision for mode of transport.

I would want a cycle lane to be in all the roads with cycle parking all across city centres,offices, bus stations and railway stations. This will reduce carbon emissions, save fuel as well as make people healthy.Technology is needed only for monitoring the safety and signals for bicycle riders.

Govt can bulk purchase solar/elec powered cars which have been developed by our IIT's or for that matter the Mahindra Reva, provide for charging points frequently, advertise the vacancy for driver's post who can work on govt payroll till the time they recover cost of car. These cars can then be used for mass transportation or public use. In this way we can achieve 3 of Govt of India's objectives :- 1) Make in India of vehicles. 2) Job Creation 3) Emission control of CO2 #MeraSmartCityIndia

Answer 1 – 15 minutes time slots for two wheelers, cars, buses with defined minimum speed for each during rush hours. Answer 2 – It is easy mathematics using permutation and combination depending on traffic size and road. Answer 3 – An innovative technology that can help in increase the number of buses (bus frequency) based on the seat occupancy of a running bus. Example: - If scheduled bus at 10:00 a.m. shows 90% seat occupancy at first stop then an additional bus can be immediately sent.

Any smart solution in present ecosystem needs to encompass technologies like GPS, Wifi, accessible through mobile (applications), has capability to read and share data on real-time basis etc. My solution makes an attempt by using these technologies along with relevant others like motions sensors to deliver a cost-effective yet compatible solution.
