First of all, we need to control the usage of plastic bags. Stop it from the origin. Similarly thermocol, there are biodegradable thermocol should only be used. Stop from its origin. Make societies, industries accountable for neatness in front of their areas. Garbage disposal system should be available at every 500 mtr distance. Toilets should be available in low income areas in more numbers, with small amount of charge for maintenance.

Automobiles and public transport vehicles can be run on solar energy on a large scale in a country like India. With about 300 clear, sunny days in a year, India's theoretical solar power reception, on only its land area, is about 5000 Petawatt-hours per year (PWh/yr). This can be harnessed for running vehicles across country. Also it can be made compulsory to run solar powered vehicles in densely populated cities.

1)Follow the Paris Model for cutting down the level of air pollutants (mainly particulate matter) by large scale development of public transport and also subsidizing the same to an extent that people prefer to use public transport over personal vehicles. 2)Car Pooling should be encouraged and incentivized. 3)Car sharing is also a great and innovative practice followed in the US. In car sharing, a person having an extra or unused vehicle can give it to others for use by charging a fee. With the risk involved, a special insurance scheme insuring the owner for damages and other losses should be put forward to foster maximum participation. Something on these lines can be thought of and a feasibility analysis can be carried out. 4)For cutting down consumption of plastic bags, the price at which it is sold in shops and malls should be increased considerably. 5)Encourage research on renewable energy and plastic waste recycle by funding more research projects and break through ideas. 6)Develop a system similar to carbon credits for people, called “green credits”. Include it under some section of the Income Tax Act, in which people involved in greener practices and doing some contribution, however little towards a better Environment are recognized and given tax benefits. 7)Encourage adoption of technology(Rain water Harvesting, Solar Technology, etc.) aiding better environmental practices with wide scale campaigns and penetration into rural areas.
