Most of the ITI trainees are not performing well on account of many reasons as follows - 1.Modifying & Implementing Minimum Wages Act for ITI Tradesman 2.Restructuring NCVT Council and Nominating NTC/NAC holders & Skill Experts as Board Members on NCVT Council. 3.Awarding “Performance Based Annual Increment” for Instructional Staff of ITIs as “Champion Master Trainer”

Polytechnics and ITI's are the stepping stones in an individual's life who yearn to opt for a technical career ahead. Apparently, not every institute tries its best to provide the student with the basic knowledge or things for which they have joined this course. 1. In some of these institutes there are no proper labs where a student can try out the experiments(govt. institutes).2. scarcity of funds.3. pending matters regarding setting up of a lab. words are less to describe the real scenario.

I have done Diploma In electronics and communication from PUSA polytechnic in year 2003.And everybody in knows about the high standards of PUSA Polytechnic. Post that whatever the things happened that make me feel that doing Diploma in engineering has no use. From then to till now no one looks interested in hiring Diploma Holders (Both Govt. and Private sector). Despite of having very good knowledge of my field I had faced a lot of rejections at Hr. Screening levels because of Diploma and as per Most of big telecom Organizations Hr. They do not consider Diploma. So to make Polytechnic Diploma better first we have to make sure that Industry should recognize this Polytechnic Diploma at least industry should give the equal opportunity to diploma engineers also .

The quality of education given in polytechnic institutes is poor. The students in polytechnic colleges should be given practical industry oriented education. For example a student doing diploma in mechanical engineering is not able to repair any automobile, refrigerator and air conditioner, and lots of practical things because he is not given the practical knowledge. Opening polytechnic institutes is a mean to earn money for the founder and students are suffering.Quality check by govt is require

At the engineering collges syllabus is fully theoritical not practical.so to develope practical skill of a student,a student should join ITI/Polytechnic for at least 6 months and a grade should be awarded to him/her by the head of the institution of that particular ITI/Polytechnic.that grade is to be add with his/her final semester result as a main subject. For this the Engg.collages are to be colaborated with ITIs/Polytechnics.
