I had gotten wind of a place which rivals the grand canyons in the USA. Its Gandikota, Near Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh. Currently the local economy is under utilized, impetus can be laid with the promotion of sustainable tourism. For this to happen, work needs to be done in the spread of the word, clean up of the river, build sanitation facilities with adequate sewerage network along with a captive Sewage Treatment Plant. This would provide the best chances of developing the local society.

The temple of Augarnath at Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. This temple has a great historic importance since the first revolt agaisnt Britishers in 1857 started from this temple. There was also a well inside the temple complex that the soldiers use to frequent to quench their thirst. In 1856, the Government introduced new cartridges for their guns, and soldiers were supposed to remove its seal using their teeth.Since the seal was made of cow fat the priest disallowed and this started the revolt..
