Godavari River travels through “Papi kondalu” (Papi hills) and it’s a beautiful stretch. The natural beauty of this place is least explored. Few private boats are operating in this stretch by providing accommodation in the bamboo huts. But this can be improved to a very good tourist attraction. Staying on the riverbanks in Bamboo huts or tents away from all modern life is a different experience.

Incredible Coorg, Karnataka

This is a place called Deepor Beel about 20kms from Guwahati City on the way to the airport. It is a beautiful location and can be compared to the international destinations. But only thing lacking is tourism and conservation activities to save the migratory birds to this place. There are a lot of contruction activities of brick industries which is spoiling the area. A request to take some necessary step to conserve this place before toursim is introduced with transparency and accountability.

A historic fort. Here sardar Patel, Nehru n other leaders were imprisoned for 3 years. It's a huge campus currently under army. Very much maintenance required. Fort should b taken up by ITDC for restoration and master planning for developing a tourist place.
