our state handloom corps should copycat the business model adopted by FABINDIA. Fabindia has a very good website where you can observe a product from different angles.the company has also stores in most of the metros with variety of products and their catalogues.our state handloom companies must have their presence at main airports like BiswaBangla of WB Handloom Corp.our companies must open stores in other countries under one umbrella. The online presence must be compelling.

Demand of silk products in our country is there, but its pricing against chinese silk or artificial silk is very excessive and for that, demand in the market is low. It needs to be encouraged by marketing it effectively for all in the society. This can happen by encouraging silk cloth and dress in uniform services and govt establishments, where free clothing is given to employees. Even school children can be given silk uniform and certainly it will develop habit of silk clothing in future.

Ahimsa silk can be popularised as it does not need killing of silkworms. And Indian Designers can make Ahimsa silk garments and have fashion shows with prominent celebrities so that it first gets popular among the high society people and then trickles down to the common masses.

The best promotion one can provide is through bollywood and TV shows! Directly or indirectly they inspire people to do what the characters tend to do in the movie/show!

Any business must be self sustaining without crutches provided by government....it is far better to give pensions to silk weavers than waste money on keeping unviable businesses alive...

Government may create a fashion designer farm so they can have advertising by fashion shows in India and abroad too and people will intrest in study and business too and actually it helps by some places so that we will have creative students and they will work for India and it's marketing in all over world on fashion market.

By exhibiting in other countries or open a permanent exhibition stall in Foreign countries. A minimum salary and commission can be paid based on the sales.
