Silk, the Queen of textiles, is adored by all for its sheer sheen, luster, elegance, class and comfort. It has several natural properties like natural sheen, inherent affinity for dyes and vibrant colours, light weight, resilience and excellent drape etc. which makes it distinct from all other fibers both natural and man-made. Though silk products are consumed more by urban rich, its production is highly employment oriented, low capital intensive and remunerative that churns out value added products of economic importance, especially the rural people.

India is the second largest producer of silk in the world and the silk industry provides employment to about 7.8 million people in the rural and semi-urban areas in the country. The women participation in various activities in silk value chain is about 54%. The silk always attracts competition from synthetic fibers, though which look like silk.

Share your ideas and opinions on how to increase the demand for Indian silk in the country as well as abroad by exploring new products, designs, markets, fashion, trends, promotion measures, target groups, etc.

any property without PAn no. will be treated as invalid title. and the registering authority must be made accountable for that. the problem in india is more of not making public servant accountavble. and on other terms they are looting the innocent public by harrasing them and fleecing money from them.

Mr. Modi this is to inform you that a huge amount of money are transferref from our country to foreign country via direct selling business. It is one of the today's biggest sector through which money transfer from one country to another country. Plz take some positive action for this sector and make some legal authority for network marketing

If the govt is serious in providing the home to every one in india, they must formulate a policy that no body can have a more than one flat or house alloted by any agency or privately build. govt must engage the privtae builders to build the house/flat and sell them to the home less public. by this the rates of land and building will be sharply come down and poor and middle class will be able to have a taste of this.every property must be attached with PAN no. irespect ive of the price factor.

Mr.Modi this is from my friends post just doing ccp here felt u must read this.Ah, brave soldier! You did your duty, will we do ours? 52 years back on this day, the short but sharp war with China came to an end. Some 12,000 men of the Indian Army supported valiantly by IAF transport and helicopter units fought against an 80,000 strong Chinese buildup. Nearly 1300 fought and died, over 3000 were injured, 1500 went missing and 3000 were captured. There continues to be a series of post postmortems;

India was historically part of silk route and and silk sarees and silk products are popular worldwide but the challenge that we are facing of price ie. raw material and of reputation worldwide.Most of the thread that we use for making saree cloth comes from china because of cheap raw material so our skilled craftsmen are paid very less as compared to what they deserve.See today the concept of art and architecture as well as designing in cloth is decreasing in India and is in a very sad state.
