Sometimes in TN, few government hospitals are blamed for the continuous infant death. These kind of things should be brought under special teams and the reason for death of infants should be analyzed from the pregnancy.Because the involvement of drug manufacturing companies are suspected in these cases by reputed newspapers.Instead of following the right procedure to test their new drugs, these companies seems to test it illegally on the pregnant women where the literacy rate is low it seems.

Malnutrition is the main cause hence the parents should be educated ...a common daily protein -carbohydrate-vitamin intake chart should be prepared and has to be regularly monitored by ASHA centres..it can be collaborated with Mid day meal scheme.I think there is no point in creating new programmes ,existing infrastrucure, workforce ,technology has to be well utilised.

Like the pulse polio programme ,other vaccines should be added in the list and on the every alternate week Vaccination camp should be held free of cost at taluka level,PHC level because the children living in cities are always vaccinated but the rural ones are missed out...Pilot project can be held in smaller states and cities...

Priority of girl education ---It will be very nice if the girl education & medical facilities at every location available free of cost. Because the education is only the way by which all women problem in society can be resolved.
For weaker family --After the regular education , government should also provide minimum basic establishment at the time of marriage for all poor girl .

I feel the government as well as PSU & NGO should join hands along with business personalities for reducing death among children. In fact govt is not trying to include corporates in this project. This attitude should change first. Then only the real development will start.

Respected Madam, As for the prevention of Cord sepsis and SIDS, the Indian System of Medicine, Ayurveda has stated the precautions well before 6,000 years. We need to Implement them. They do not require any funding. Second thing I would like to state is 'make people realise medicines are NOT Food' Unnecessary medicines are creating avoidable diseases. Thirdly Sudden changes in food habits is leading to diseases like anaemia and is also a cause of increasing congenital defects With regards Parul

Respected Madam, Holi greetings to you and your whole team at the HRD. I have been talking with the primary school teachers since more than 20 years and each time they affirm that 'slightest changes in a child are first noted by an alert teacher'. This message helps spread the necessary message to other teachers for their "crucial role" in a Child's Physical Psychological Emotional Social Health. With regards Parul
